Further education
In the area of certificated further education, the EDK qualification regulations (german, french, italien) govern the designation of further education qualifications for teacher education at university level.
- The further education master’s course, the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS), leads to the award of a master’s degree and counts for a minimum of 60 ECTS credit points, corresponding to approximately 1800 hours of study.
The recognition of master’s degrees at national level is governed by the EDK guidelines for continuing education master’s degrees (MAS) in teacher education (accreditation, development, scope, structure).
German version, french version, italien version - The Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) course leads to the award of a diploma and counts for a minimum of 30 ECTS credit points, corresponding to approximately 900 hours of study.
- The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) course leads to the award of a certificate and counts for a minimum of 10 ECTS credit points, corresponding to approximately 300 hours of study.
In addition, the universities of teacher education offer non-certificated further education courses, for which a statement of attendance is issued.
